Originally just 12 pages, black and white, with 3000 copies being distributed amongst the three villages of Wraysbury, Horton and Datchet, The Village Echo grew to be a full colour publication with up 48 pages and a maximum of 14000 copies being distributed in 35 villages and towns across four counties in the South East. After the death of its founder, and my father, Peter Stone, and the birth of my first child, The Village Echo was sold to family-run Tindle Newspapers, based in Farnham. They published its last edition over two years ago.
