BIOTERRA NV - AWS France SasOperations, Administration & Logistics for AWS France Sas
Jan. 2012 - Dec. 2016HomebasedOperations for the Nanterre site, administration & logistics in general for import & export of polluted soil that has to be cleansed and valorized for reuse in the building industry.
The gross of import comes from France and its destination is Belgium or the Netherlands.
The soil is treated by biological or physico-chemical means in Belgium. The Netherlands has centers for thermal treatment. AWS FRANCE Sas is a commercial branch, BIOTERRA NV is the treatment center. The latter has several locations for valorization in Belgium. AWS FRANCE and BIOTERRA are subsidiaries of the Group De Cloedt.
More info is to be found on the website http://groupdecloedt.be/nl/Environment. Lately, AWS FRANCE opened a transit platform in Nanterre (F-92000).
This platform has the possibility to store polluted soil temporary, before sending it by ship to Belgium. It has a permanent permit to transfer soil coming from the Ile de France Department. This offers the flexibility to clients who can not wait for an export notification, which generally can last for several weeks. The storage capacity is, when completely occupied, around 6 500 tons. The polluted soil leaves for Belgium within 1 month, valorization is done between 1 to 6 months depending on the degree of pollution or treatment method.
This platform is classified and has adequate equipment, meeting the standards of security and efficiency. I recently was assigned the task to organise all administrative and logistic matters for the Nanterre platform, besides the responsability of having the control on export files from the whole of France. Expertise in creating Notifications for export of waste from any European country to any treatment center in the EU is one of my skills.
The European Regulation 1013/2006 is the guide book or directory for this job.
