Nov. 2020 - Sep. 2021Richmond Hill, Ontario, CanadaManaging and maintaining onboarding process including but not limited to orientation and maintaining personnel files;
Reviewing and screening applicants, setting up and organizing interviews for the management team;
Using Payworks payroll system, process weekly hourly employee and bi-weekly salary employee payroll:
Prepare vacation sheets (review daily attendance emails) for salary payroll; Process payroll related adjustments in Payworks, ie changes on pay rate, vacation entitlement, group insurance deductions;
Communicate with Paris Factory HR & HS advisor for their payroll related issues;
Month end and year end reporting and reconciliations (Union dues, WSIB payment, EHT reconciliations);
Verifying vacation and sick days records and file the approved form for payroll processing; Explaining human resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards to new and existing managers and employees; Preparing or updating employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating;
Ensuring new hire paperwork is completed and processed; Addressing any employment relations issues, such as work complaints and harassment allegations ∙ Processing all personnel action forms and ensuring proper approval; Enroll/register new employee to group benefits plan on Manulife site; Ensure group benefits deductions are updated on a timely basis; Terminating group benefits as required; and Communicating group benefits plan changes to employees
