The 1st of November 2005 the government tax offices (ToldSkat) (30 offices) and the local tax offices in the municipalities (298 offices) were fusioned into one organisation called “SKAT”. In the area I was working it was a gathering of a government entity, a working relationship between 5 municipalities and 5 single municipalities. All in all a fusion of close to 200 people. The first year was therefore spent on change management, cultural differences, finding common grounds of administrating the tax legislation and finding best practices. The areas that was covered where internal administration, customer services, guidance on individual and company taxes and control of the same. Responsibilities • People manager for 4 department managers and the staff of approx. 100 people. • The departments covered internal administration, customer services, guidance on individual and company taxes and audit of people and companies • I was cultural transformation lead in the joining of one government entity and 13 municipality tax offices, in total a gathering of more than 170 employees. Main Achievements • We successfully created one common organization and culture within the first year. • We lived up to all the local goals set forth as part of the transformation
