This includes having the ability to conduct any healthy comprehensive exams teamed with a doctor, or conducting exams for booster vaccines. Occasionally, I will see a recheck appointment whether it's for suture removals, ear cytology rechecks, skin rechecks, etc. and I relay my findings to the doctor if there are any present issues still or newly present. I also am able to relieve the doctor so they may finish anything else they may be finishing with. My role in surgery is to be the second hand to any doctor working that day since I'm able to pre-med, induce, and intubate patients to get the day moving at an efficient pace. I have also completed certification as an Animal Nutrition Consultant. This enables me to give owners advice on how to help their pet obtain an appropriate Body Condition Score.
