I was instrumental in the development and delivery of strategic objectives for the Defence Force, developed operational plans and delegated all functions efficiently to ensure the effective operations of my unit. Key Roles & Responsibilities: • Designed and delegated tasks to ranking officers, established open lines of communication and ensured a joint commitment to individual and team objectives. • Developed and implemented All of Government Capabilities, effectively planned military activities and maintained a culture of excellence in all functions. • Showcased a sound commercial and financial acumen while managing an extensive operational budget, oversaw the responsible allocation of resources and monitored expenditure to align with financial goals. • Spearheaded the planning, delivery and co-ordination of training programs and schedules, facilitated competency evaluations and maintained a commitment to upholding welfare standards for all deployed soldiers. • Conducted in-depth risk assessments, developed risk management and mitigation strategies and cultivated communication channels to ensure a clear and concise understanding of opportunities and challenges facing the Defence Force. • Successfully developed and implemented system and equipment management processes, consistently sought new ways to improve existing processes and enhance our capabilities and supported my teams during transitional periods. • Undertook extensive research into the performance of the Defence Force relating to unit success, individual performance, costing and manpower, compiled reports and enabled effective decision-making at the highest levels.
