Responsible for the overall recruitment process, including; advertising, interviewing, skills testing and packaging. Negotiation was a major factor in this role and it was imperative to have excellent communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills. The role required the confidence and professionalism to comfortably speak to anyone at any level. Duties include: • Using sales, business development, marketing techniques and networking in order to attract business from client companies • Working towards targets; personal and business • Building relationships with clients and candidates • Developing a good understanding of organisations, their industry, what they do, their work culture and environment • Advertising vacancies appropriately by drafting and placing adverts • Using social media (Linkedin) to advertise positions and using candidate databases to find suitable candidates • Receiving and reviewing applications, managing interviews and creating a shortlist of candidates • Requesting references and checking the suitability of applicants (eligibility to work) • Preparing CVs and correspondence to forward to clients • Organising interviews for candidates as requested by the client • Consistent customer service to both candidates and clients • Negotiating pay and salary rates and finalising arrangements between client and candidates • Offering advice to both clients and candidates on pay rates, training and career progression • Reviewing recruitment policies to ensure effectiveness of selection techniques • Lead a team within the Midland region on system queries, resolutions and updates • Keeping up to date with market trends and employment • Training new staff in office on internal system and how to run a successful desk
