I have been working in the field of international education and cross cultural collaboration for almost 8 years. I have been working remotely and hybrid within a global team. I have worked at IREX in supporting and overseeing the implementation of Global Solutions Program which is a virtual exchange program that supports workforce development in the U.S., Iraq, and Jordan through two programs: Global Solutions Sustainability Challenge & Global Solutions Conversations. Community college and university students from the U.S. and technical college and university students from Iraq and Jordan come together to solve global challenges in their communities. The program improves global citizenship, strengthens problem-solving skills, and develops enduring connections, while enhancing students’ job skills through online collaboration. I have been a pillar in launching the pilot year back in 2017 and successfully contributing to scaling the award until June 2025 with being in close communication with our funders. I have been supporting and managing the program holistically including day to day activities, work plans, budget, partnerships in MENA in addition to reporting and monitoring and evaluation. I have worked remotely within a multicultural team, leading team meetings and delegating tasks to ensure completion of milestones. I was responsible for preparing training materials and taking part in facilitating in-person and virtual sessions. I have designed project based and dialogue based curriculums reflecting the different cultural context in the three countries we work with. I have extensive experience in using virtual tools and other platforms such as Slack, Zoom and Teams.
