multiple LOBs and suppliers to ensure delivery of services according to contract obligations and business
needs.
● Independently manages a portfolio of over 15 suppliers, which accounts for over $22.2M of
Capital One Retail Bank spend on an annual basis, and serves the various needs of ATM
Operations and Tech Teams (Hardware, Software, Installation, Warehouse, and Networks).
● Creates deal strategies with business customers and internal stakeholders to understand needs,
determine the risks and design appropriate execution plans.
● Reviews and redlines contracts to ensure that Capital One is adequately protected from risk.
● Negotiates with Suppliers to produce deals that result in cost savings ($750K for FY2020),
exceed business objectives, include actionable and trackable SLAs, and improved pricing.
● Manages and influences multiple transactions independently and efficiently, driving to completion
in a timely manner.
● Liaises closely with risk, legal counsel, contract management, cyber, compliance, and other
stakeholders as appropriate to ensure variable risks are identified and mitigated in contracts, and
ensure third party relationships are compliant with all relevant policies and procedures, including
American Disabilities Act.
● Identifying opportunities to engage in sourcing exercises and negotiate improved pricing for
multi-year agreements, including an effort to secure $1.3M in savings (~33% cost reduction per
year).
● Awards:
○ ESM Deliver Greater Award (2021) for negotiating a mult-contract deal to secure supplier
software source code in escrow to mitigate potential Supplier insolvency impact on
Operations and Software teams.
