Sep. 2021 - Jul. 2022Atlanta, Georgia, United StatesI am responsible for managing merchandising department 25 (Tools, Hardware, Auto, etc.) for US Merch Payables. This includes managing payments, disputes, partial payments, etc. for thousands of suppliers. This role also includes process improvements to existing processes, creating and updating documentation, managing month-end activities related to D25, and partnering with virtually every internal department within THD. This position is typically managed by a Sr. Analyst, but I had to take over in small time frame due to company changes. - Analyze and evaluate invoicing and receiving processes to confirm suppliers follow all required processes for payment. - Communicate with suppliers, merchandising, supply chain and other internal partners to ensure necessary action correct to any non-payment discrepancies among our merchandise suppliers. - Performs economic and financial research and analyzes internal and external issues related to financial metrics. - Develop accurate and descriptive process documentation to allow for more efficient implementation of new hire analysts. - Partnering daily with internal teams (Supply Chain, Channel Management, Merchant, etc.) to resolve supplier issues such as problematic shipments, unpaid invoices, pricing discrepancies, etc. - Experience using and exposure to various systems including SAP ECC, SAP S4/HANA, Oracle Acorde, IBM Legacy, Access Database, Google Big Query, DocuSign, Zendesk, and Alteryx. - Research to analyze and validate supplier claims, facilitate communication between Merchant and supplier to negotiate a settlement agreement for claim, and draft legal settlement document to be signed by all parties.
