Feb. 2014The Managing Director (MD) has overall strategic responsibility for all MuslimARC programs. As the chief program officer of MuslimARC, the MD provides leadership to the MuslimARC strategic planning process and will implement new programmatic strategic initiatives. In addition, coordinates with Executive Director (ED) and work with MuslimARC Board of Directors (BOD) to keep them abreast of programmatic strategies and challenges. RESPONSIBILITIES - Cultivate deep knowledge of the fields of anti-racism education, racial justice, and social change to develop research, strategy, curricula and consulting services.
- Establish relationships with funders and community leaders.
- Build a local and national presence that communicates program results with an emphasis on the successes of the local programs as models for regional and national replication.
- Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence, rigorous program evaluation, and consistent quality of finance and administration, recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve the strategic goals.
- Implement training programs and coaching for MuslimARC’s staff, board, trainers, and volunteers with an emphasis on developing capacity in supporting programs that promote diversity, inclusion, and equity.
- Develop and enhance staff’s expertise in organizational management and professional development.
Prepare, submit, and manage an annual budget and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered to the BOD.
- Ensure the continued financial viability of MuslimARC’s operations through sound fiscal management and fundraising.
