Philip Morris InternationalSenior Software Engineer
Nov. 2020 - Dec. 2022Lisbon, PortugalMy journey at Philip Morris International is a massive challenge because We're trying to build a technology hub from scratch. We need to define the best standards for the company's future. During this time, I participated in different projects focused intake the company to another level due to its relevance to it and because they're game-changers. Following that path, I idealized, architected, and implemented scalable solutions to help the company's goals. I worked with my front-end team to define company standards. I wrote articles, presented Tech Talks, and conducted Tech TARBs. During this journey, I took the lead in bringing a new front-end architecture to the company to give more robustness and scalability to projects and teams without development dependency or dependent and complex deployment processes. The Micro front-end architecture allowed me to archive several company goals regarding developing new applications and improving deprecated ones. One of them was the possibility of its having zero downtime of the application during the deployment cycle, even with multiple teams working on it simultaneously. I worked with several front-end frameworks like React, SolidJs, Svelte, Vue, Angular, etc. I had an opportunity to an architected application under a new pattern and managed all the infrastructure and the automated processes.
I became certified in AWS, Scrum, and SAFe during this journey. Currently, I’m a micro frontends evangelist and enthusiastic.
