Jan. 1997GeorgiaEnable organizations with limited in-house engineering resources to achieve Fortune 500 results. * Quick-turn prototyping with Microchip, Atmel, and TI reference boards and Arduino * Custom embedded product designs based on leading microcontroller offerings * Develop custom firmware, hardware solutions, RF designs * Wired & Wireless networking consultation * Industrial IoT, Consumer Electronics, Process Control, Data Communications -- Water Leak Sensor IoT Device: Completed transition of firmware to upgraded processor and implemented feature updates and bug fixes to an existing product. Added secure OTA and secure boot to the AWS-based device. Reduced power consumption to optimize battery operation. Written in C for custom hardware with ARM-based SoC. Uses SPI, Serial, GPIO, Wi-Fi, TI-RTOS, and AWS SDK. -- Multifunction Data Monitor/Logger: Added low-power battery operational modes and SNMP network management to extend existing product to new applications. Written in C for custom board with 32-bit microcontroller. Uses I2C, SPI, RS-232, Ethernet and a light network stack. Client customer is Purafil Inc., Doraville, GA -- Industrial Motion Control: Two-axis closed-loop Motion Controller running on 8-bit MCU with GUI hosted on PC. Communication between the two applications uses JSON messaging over RS-422. This was a clean-sheet redesign to improve operational speed, precision, and safety. The motion controller is written in C++ with FreeRTOS. The GUI is written in Python using PyQT6. Client customer is R.N.C. Industries Inc., Buford, GA
