Until now I have worked on the BI and DWH development side, gaining experience on SQL, PL/SQL, different db systems like Oracle, PostgreSQL, Exasol, MySQL, working with reporting tools and creating the web interface for clients with reports, dashboards, dynamic filtering option, using also Javascript, HTML, CSS. I would like to make a shift in my career, to improve my knowledge regarding front and backend development, to use more my creativity side and to have a place where I could gain hands-on experience in this area. That is why I’m looking for an entry-level/junior position. I have a strong understanding of algorithms, OOP, data structures and scripting languages, but a lack of hands-on professional experience with these. I know that I am not a fresh graduate student, but I hope that this will not be the thing that makes me a wrong candidate for this internship program, as I have all the willing to learn and improve myself.

I am part of an Agile team, where I get to analyze the business requirements that are updated in Power Designer, where the DWH Model is, and then develop ETL and ELT flows using the ODI tool (depending on the task, I work also with packages, OJC orchestrator, configuring all the tables behind the orchestrator). The main goal is to move the entire DWH system in Cloud and deliver whatever requests are coming from the Board Group (new sourcing, new business logic, all kind of changes).

What I’ve worked on: - create the connections necessary to extract data from several source systems - create the extraction processes - create the fact tables and the populating scripts - add new business measures - map all the attributes and measures in UI and create the reports and dashboards - organize the populating processes of dimensions and facts into integration groups and schedul them - developing a full web application for each of our customers, using Aera's Developer and UI Builder tools, including charts, reports components, end-to-end functionality. I had to implement corelated filters on the entire page content which would dinamically change their set of data based on the choices selected. Also, the tables were editable, meaning that you could change a value and after that all the measures were re-calculated real-time in order to show a business simulation. - create Skill processes (using the internal tool) - these processes have also javascript and java behind, interfaces that interogate the database, IF/WHILE nodes and an UI layout - similar to Informatica ETL Tool Beside the technical tasks, I am working closely with the clients in order to create an optimal solution, as a BA and Solution Architect role. (Stress Testing Reports, Control Reports, Loss of Liquidity, etc) -in order to do this, I have to analyze the Logic Specification document (each type of financial product has its own ETL rules) and to create an individual workflow (etl packages and workflow load packages) per each product. -maintain the static data for basic/default dimensions and configuration tables -I am also working on a new calculation engine thing, developed in Scala with ApacheSpark, that does almost automatically the ETL (using a data source from Oracle, making all the calculations in memory and in the end populate the target tables in the database using a stored procedure) Used technologies: - Oracle Exadata - SQL, PL/SQL, Tortoisse SVN, BitBucket GIT. Using Oracle 11g, SQL, PL/SQL, Informatica 9.1 and Unix scripting -I have been a part of the ETL team where I had to load data from files received from different banking systems into database, using Informatica and Oracle. In Informatica we had developed workflows for each type of file, workflows that extract data, validate it and then load it into Oracle database. We had some configuration tables that needed to be updated with parameters for each new workflow and some Unix scripts for managing files in the system and preparing them for data extraction. (I’ve had to develop Informatica workflows, modify Unix scripts, configure tables, modify and create procedures in order to load data from new type of files) -Also, I have worked in another project which was a reporting application that extract data from multiple schemas, create reports and then load them into another schema. For this project we used Oracle and Java technologies. I have worked only on Oracle part, designing project schema, creating packages, etc. -Agile Methodology
