Built and managed a top-flight technology team and oversee security, research and development, as well as project management. Additionally advised the rest of Senior Management on Risk, be that ICT or corporate risk and also on matters of Data Protection. Key achievements
• Designed and implemented global WAN connecting eleven campuses • Implemented and support a private cloud for running line of business apps and a public cloud for running Web based applications and websites within. • Planned and performed security testing on the new WAN, creating associated security policies. This included DLP, IPS and ability to log and trace events.
• Developed a plan and completed the conversion from a physical to virtual infrastructure.
• Conducted “Gap Analysis” against ISO 27001 and worked to resolve issues.
• Performed ICT and corporate risk analysis.
• Obtained ISO 27001 accreditation for the organisations ICT service.
• Developed, implemented, tested and documented the current DR / BCP strategy.
• Improved technical support across the eleven campuses by the implementation of a service desk management system.
