As AVP, I built and led 15 direct reports to spearhead enterprise technology, infrastructure delivery, business operations and project management initiatives across Manulife’s Asia business, totaling US$131M in budget. Under my leadership, we implemented network transformation projects, end-user transformation strategy, cloud migration journeys and cyber security projects. I also led Manulife’s multi-campus delivery strategy and resource rebalancing strategy in Asia, delivering annual savings of circa $800k. We successfully resolved complex vendor disputes. Besides driving business impact, I’m also proud of being recognized as an excellent people manager and leader. I consistently received a high 4.8 engagement rating from direct reports, in internal Gallup leadership surveys. I also successfully secured promotions for 2 direct reports. My time at Manulife further solidified my desire to help enterprises spearhead their business planning, operations and technology transformation journeys, to navigate an increasingly digital world.
