-Develop and implement departmental vision and strategic plan. -Establish and manage all budgets regarding the Residence Life program.
-Oversee a 12 person professional staff and 90 person paraprofessional staff.
-Coordinate the professional staff recruitment and hiring processes.
-Oversee professional staff training & development.
-Administer and analyze surveys and assessments for resident students.
-Facilitate the spring Resident Assistant class with the Assistant Director of Residence Life.
-Chair the Residence Hall Improvement Committee
-Serve as a member of the Needs Assessment Team, Bias Intervention Prevention & Response Team, Crisis Management Response Team, Enrollment Management Committee, Orientation Committee, First-Year Experience, Disability Services Committee, Summer Planning Committee, Food Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, NEASC accreditation sub-committee and other committees as assigned.
-Work collaboratively with Campus Ministry to support mission centered programs on campus and within the halls.
-Provide direction for Special Interest Housing and Living Learning Communities
-Serve as a student conduct hearing officer -Participate in the administrator on-call rotation
-Serve as a certified ALICE trainer, BASICS facilitator and Bystander Intervention instructor
