• Reported to the Arabia Dubiety Regional Claims Manager, and handled accountability towards the settlement of customer claims for various insurance covers.
• Managed the claims process right from receiving initial application from policy holders, to verifying customer details, seeking approval from the decision making team, and paying out claim amounts to the policy holder.
• Led and processed claim applications for accident, health, workmen compensation, marine, property & service insurance covers, within the scope of AIG’s rules and regulations.
• Accepted claims from policy claimants situated majorly in KSA, Dubai, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain, and other such claims intimated by any globally based AIG offices.
• Conducted internal audits to review outstanding claims, and paid claims, generated monthly / quarterly / annual payment reports, and submitted it to the management.
• Involved in the preparation of a report that assessed the inflow and outflow of intimated, outstanding, and paid claims respectively, on a weekly as well as monthly basis.
• Posted at Kuwait for 11 months to manage claims of a large portfolio comprising 7 petroleum companies and a total employee headcount of 24000. • Managed the reinsurance cycle for the company’s accident and health (A&H), workmen compensation and life policies; coordinated with the local insurance companies in Kuwait fronting these policies. • Involved in the planning, implementation, and execution of plans for reduction of outstanding claims, which achieved considerable success consistently.
