Developed JetBlue Disaster Recovery Plan Template and Runbook for standardization across the enterprise in conjunction with the BCDR & IT Operations teams. Created Disaster Recovery Plans and Runbooks for 2 Enterprise-based Critical Airline Applications that were being upgraded to new systems. Both utilized SaaS-based High-Availability systems in AWS. The other is a SaaS-based hybrid cloud utilizing AWS, Azure and Oracle hybrid Clouds. The first solution required minimal Disaster Recovery Scenarios to cover just a single point of failure and is managed by vendor FLIGHTKEYS. Extensive Failover testing was done pre-cutover to the live system and Lessons Learned along with solutions and resolutions were documented and added to the new DR Plans. The second solution involved Multiple DR scenarios based on the multiple points of potential failure and complexities due to the number of systems, databases, up and downstream integrations, and the underlying hybrid infrastructure. DR scenarios included disruptions or outages of AWS, Azure, Oracle and network communications. Actual failover is managed by the Vendor Wipro. Extensive failover testing was completed before cut-over to the new TOPS OPS system. Also provided the JetBlue BCDR Team: • A Customized BIA Tool to their Specifications & requirements (Impact™ BIA &Data Analysis Tool) • access to the Free Impact™ Risk Assessment Tool with Guidebook, training & Risk Reference Card™ • Guidance and recommendations on Future Risk Assessments and BIAs • Guidance and additional key questions to ask suppliers & vendors • Explain highly complex IT Systems and DR procedures to key non-technical leaders • Recommend building out a center of excellence for key areas of their BCDR such as Life-Safety, BC, & DR • Recommend a Flow-chart for Disaster Communications to crewmembers
