Jun. 2015 - May. 2016Kathmandu, NepalLeading a multinational multi-organisational team to respond to the the April and May 2015 Earthquakes in Nepal. Managing around USD 7.5 million of response funding and coordinating a team of technical specialists and national partners to provide WASH, Shelter and livelihood support to those impacted by the earthquakes and their aftershocks. We supplied assistance to over 100,000 people across four districts (Bakhtapur, Lalitpur, Gorkha and Dhading) that have been badly affected by the earthquake. The programme covers WASH (emergency and permanant water scheme and latrine construction as well as hygiene promotion), cash for livelihoods, cash for shelter and shelter technical assistance as well as psychosocial support. The response involved international and national staff from Danish Church Aid, Norwegian Church Aid, ICCO and Church of Sweden working within the ACT Alliance as well as five local implementing partners.
