Sep. 2012 - Nov. 2017Cairo Governorate, EgyptFounded in 2009, Bakeaholics Egypt is the entrepreneur of the cake decoration teaching in Egypt. I was fascinated with the captivating art of decorating cakes and creating sugar sculptures. Determined to learn more about the business I have traveled to Dubai to take my first internationally accredited certification in cake decoration the WMI (Wilton Method Instructor) later I have traveled to NYC and Kuala Lumpur to take more courses and become the true master of this craft. In 2011 I quit the office job and committed to the new challenge to build the company from the bottom up. Bakeaholics today is worth 1.5 million, has a customer base for 100k customer and a team of seven full-time employees and 7 other part time instructors. As the Creative Director of Bakeaholics Egypt I was accountable for all new products assessment and latest product administration and selection while in the same time I was able to expand the company’s plan to include product manufacturing locally at international standards as well as importing. Looking after all products development phases whether they were designed locally or imported off-shore, looking after the whole life cycle starting with the inception of an idea, going through the design and development up until final production and sales. Bakeaholics provides many services and end products. Daily courses and training was one the most important services provided by the company. It was my role to develop strategic plans for to direct the company towards achieving its goals while ensuring that the services provided by company meets the expectations of its clients, board and funders. Besides all the mentioned, I worked as a project manager at Bakeaholics it is my responsibility to define each project plan, monitor and control the project work, it is also my responsibility to manage, projects and team schedule, project budgets, and their quality. Product innovation and product management was also carried out in my role.
