This new Data Foundation Backbone is driving efficiency in how we handle data and improving speed to insight. Notable Achievements • Defined, coordinated, and approved the recruitment of the new Data Enablement leadership team to support the new DataOps Automation program in addition to developing and implementing a new IT data-stream strategy. • Delivered the Data Strategy as part of the IT strategy restructure with the revised strategy currently in the implementation process. • Deployed end-to-end digital services utilising new generation DataOps and Data Management techniques to significantly reduce time to insight through scalable data services. • Delivered new analytics accelerators. Significant sprint based insights developed for vaccine and non vaccine efforts. Insight of COVID related analytics in as little as 2 weeks in one case study and $800k of production quality improvements identified in 4 weeks in another example • Re-established the Data and Information Governance team. • Established a new Data Services Framework as well as capability assessments to define a new global workforce and partner ecosystem strategy necessary for capability uplift. • Deployed IT-wide metrics and a new virtualised scorecard for the CIO.

I was also responsible for developing and implementing new Data Foundation capabilities through systems architecture, robust data governance, and data quality frameworks. I also stabilised finance / BI estate data, improved the cost-to-serve core analytics services and enhanced speed-to-insight information management through a Visualised Analytics as a Service (VAaaS) offers. Notable Achievements • Executed an organisational restructure to integrate a customer-facing, agile, and sprint-based business model. • Revitalised a stalled multi-year Teradata to Azure Cloud migration with a migration live in production within 70 days of the reset. • Developed and implemented a new data governance framework that scored excellent results in an internal audit of the CFO’s weekly scorecard. • Developed, implemented, and managed an ongoing IFRS15 revenue recognition regulatory change across the organisation. • Delivered business improvement strategies driving a 21 per cent improvement in systems stability. • Huge, double digit improvement in staff engagement scores.

Notable Achievements • New standardised advanced analytics capability deployed • Developed and implemented a new multi-year strategic plan including annual operating plans and results monitoring consistent with industry best practices. • Developed and implemented an enhanced vendor governance framework as well as new preferred vendor panels across a $1.3 billion spend. • Delivered mapping strategies to align all technology workforce employees to one of eight skills professions, with strategies to mix skills. • Developed and implemented a new organisation-wide portfolio governance framework with predictive indicators and standardised reporting on a $1.5 billion project portfolio. • Delivered a new financial model including analytics, improved annual planning, and a concise allocations methodology that resulted in $200 million in savings over a two-year period. • Deployed a new communications strategy delivering consistent messages to stakeholders which contributed to an increase in the technology staff engagement score of 20 per cent over three years. • Restructured the risk team and delivered improved processes resulting in 400 audit items being closed over a two-year period, which was a record improvement for the Technology division. • Delivered process improvement initiatives, including: reducing 20 recruitment strategies into a single process to cut the recruitment time in half.
