Under this docket, I have led the research wing of the project to simplify legal concepts so as to further the vision of the Strathmore Law Clinic.

Sep. 2019 - Mar. 2020New YorkThe International Development House moved from London to New York. With a new location came a new name- UNITE 2030. Our focus is on empowering youth with skills and networks that would enable them to actualise projects that realise the Sustainable Development Goals within their circles of influence. Part of the flagship programs that are being run by UNITE 2030 for the first time is Camp 2030. A week-long camp in New York where youth from all over the world come together to brainstorm ideas on how to leave the world in a better place than it was found. The planning, organising and brainstorming process of the event is the role of the Camp Counsellor.

The program is a 48hr hackathon where youth from all over the world are grouped according to the SDG of their preference. The beneficiaries of the program use the 48hrs to draft business plans, conceptualise fundraising strategies and practice their pitching skills. My role entailed finding keynote speakers and organising the hackathons among other administrative duties.
