Apr. 2022 - Mar. 2023As an illustrator at MATHS–No Problem! part of the Fig Leaf Group, I was responsible for creating, with efficiency and consistency, unique illustrations for award-winning Primary Maths textbooks and workbooks series, from full scenes to single items, in both colour and grayscale, in Adobe Illustrator (.ai) format. Working confidently with InDesign and having solid knowledge of the print process, I could ensure perfect layouts and final digital delivery ready for print. Resposabilities also included: Edit and re-purpose existing illustrations from the series Regionalise illustrations for different countries Develop new artwork, styles and characters as needed Apply isometric techniques to add perspective to illustrations Ensure illustrations support learning requirements like colour-blindness Adhere to style guide requirements and apply consistency across the series Liaise with editors, authors, designers, project managers and external companies Update layouts in InDesign and deliver pdfs to specification Support the development and maintenance of a master illustration library Maintain best-practices in file management and naming standards Maintain and update the Master Style Guide
