TakedaOperational Excellence Partner
Dec. 2015 - Feb. 2020Appleton, WisconsinI was hired because if my experience with Lean/Six Sigma methods, my growth mindset, and my ability to challenge the status quo – respectfully. I’m a process consultant, coordinating Lean projects, from front line Kaizens to enterprise-level strategic efforts. I coach and develop system-wide Lean practitioners to drive tactical continuous improvement plans and instill lean competencies and principles. Cultural transformation is a big challenge for most companies and begins with the personal transformation of their leaders. I partner with regional leaders to teach, practice, and master the skills needed to embrace change, prioritize the value-added work, and model the way forward. Key Accomplishments: ● Key partner on 6 projects, owning 3 strategic initiatives that have impacted 400+ teammates network-wide. Advisor for 15 other localized improvement efforts. ● Created a 23-core competency model to increase critical thinking and problem solving skills. Saw a 90% improvement in problem-solving processes in only 6 months. Pilot saw 80% KPI target attainment. ● Developed Value Stream Paradigm standards for network wide implementation: Current State – Future State Mapping, Value Stream Improvement Plan, Value Stream Review Meeting, and Value Stream Visual Management Board. Our company has gone through many changes in the short time I have been an Operational Excellence Business Partner (Baxter to Baxalta, and then Shire). Being acquired by a larger global entity with its own continuous improvement platform can be challenging. My 5 years’ acquisition experience with Ferguson, working on the other side of change has helped me successfully lead internal associates through the acquisition and align our current methods/culture with the new environment. Global pharmaceuticals change rapidly; we need to be agile and fluid within the change management process. I help leaders see the value in the balance between the technical and social sides of change.
