This effectively transformed TripAdvisor into more like “Amazon for Travel” than “Yelp for Travel”. Hotel Instant Booking allows travelers to book hotels directly, without leaving the TripAdvisor site or app. By building out a platform of real-time APIs into over 600 booking engines inventory and transaction systems, we created a new category of hotel distribution - the "OTA-light." This product received critical acclaim as a capability “which was unimaginable just a few years ago” (TNooz.com) and won the "Best Hotel Booking Site" award from Kiplinger's Personal Finance.
