Jan. 2000 - Nov. 2001Working activities were a combination of project management and functional engineering. Project management involved the management of several tasks. Typical responsibilities included the determination of cost, time scale and human resource required for each project. Extensive communication with the client was conducted throughout the course of each project. This included compilation of User Requirement Statements, submitting of concepts for client approval, coordination of product evaluations and flight tests and involvement in the certification of aircraft related items. Functional engineering activities consisted of concept generation, design of aircraft support systems, compilation of airframe modifications as well as stress analysis of structures. Component failure and component life extension investigations were conducted, with the aim of reducing operational costs. All designs done had to comply with the relevant Federal Aviation Regulations, Occupational Health and Safety Acts and Military Specifications.
