Gerhard has a Master’s Degree (M.Eng) in Mechanical Engineering and registered as Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) with the Engineering Council of South Africa. He has 25 years experience in the field of Mechanical and Piping Engineering and has been involved in various projects in the mining, metallurgy, natural gas, nuclear and power generation industry. Gerhard is based in Gauteng.
He is responsible for the design of piping systems and mechanical equipment on various mining and metals projects. He also functions as Project Manager and Engineering Manager on various projects. Further to this, he performs design reviews and approvals of pressure vessel and pressure equipment designs for various design companies. All these designs are done in accordance with AMSE VII and PD 5500.
He also functions as a Technical Manager where he oversees the implementation and maintenance of ISO 17020. He is involved in the delivery of the conformity assessment activities of organizations in which he is the management representative.More...
