Freelance and GhostwriterThe One who can Write It
Jul. 2003Halifax, Nova Scotia, CanadaI write blogs, articles, literature reviews, research reports in topics of general interest. My areas of special insight/expertise are in human resources management, conflict situations and resolution, the environment, travel, pet care, gardening, the Maritime Provinces of Canada, and Africa. In mid-2015 I completed two very diverse manuscripts: The one is a ghost-written biography which includes a grandfather's diaries dating back to the days of Lawrence of Arabia; the other is a light-read adventure romance, which I co-wrote with my friend Bette Yetman. In November 2021 a remarkable book was published about our evolution from our first use of tools, use of language and collaboration, to where we area today. Megafauna: first victims of the human-caused extinction, by Baz Edmeades tells a fascinating story in a blend of scientific evidence presented with lawyerly precision and vivid entertaining anecdotal illustrations. In the back of that book there are some 30 pages of notes that offer further elaboration, clarification, and identifying sources. That was my project. I wrote those, under direction from the author. And compiled the bibliography. For the next edition I'll do an Index. In the Fall of 2022 I wrote a series of subject-matter related articles for, and edited the website of a Canadian professional organization to improve readability and enhance the user-experience of visitors to the site. Currently I'm celebrating the publication of my own first book: Lessons from my coach...couch. It is the story of my coaching work, from the persective of my extremely observant and opinionated Jack Russell terrier, Farley. Sales are going well and the feedback has been lovely.
