Responsible for the creation of all scope/sequences, unit assessments, materials. - Observes, coaches and manages the Alg I and Alg II teaching teams: Leads weekly lesson study meetings. Provides feedback for teacher development, ensuring engaging and valid execution of the curriculum across two high schools in the network. - Develops vertically aligned curriculum with members of the Math Leadership Team, and collects data to drive instruction, ensuring student engagement and success. - Teaches Honors Precalculus and Senior Math classes - responsible for lesson planning, lesson instruction, data collection, material creation and grades. [Role change as a result of structure re-organization in a founding high school] Assistant Principal of Mathematics (SY 2016-17): - Built a trajectory of Math, which includes Pathways to Calculus for all students and the integration of Alg I into the 8th grade classrooms in the network. - Expanded the HS Math course selection from 3 to 7 classes (adding Hrs Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, and AP Calc), allowing scholars access to higher levels of Math. - Created scope/sequences and all formal assessments for the 5 working Math courses - Alg I, Hrs Algebra, Geometry, Alg II, Precalculus. - Facilitated department meetings, grade level planning meetings, and held one-on-one weekly check ins with teachers on the Math team. - Taught an 11th grade Alg II course. Responsible for lesson planning, lesson instruction, data collection, assessment creation and recording student grades. - Responsible for the SA Math team's first professional development week at the NCTM Annual Meeting and Exposition in 2017.
