Jul. 2013 - Aug. 2015• Lead, supervise and mentor a staff of 30 associates in multiple remote locations in the audit of a prestigious mutual fund complex comprising over 150 individual funds • Primary contact for client upper management including the CFO on a daily basis, providing insight and guidance on technical accounting issues • Manage 3 partners and 6 managers upwards in order to proactively manage aggressive accelerated deadlines • Perform independent valuation of 100% of portfolio holdings, inclusive of derivatives • Create a positive and productive work environment and reduced staff turnover rates • Prepare all proposals for the audits of newly launched products and special projects • Prepare all significant communications with the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors of the client • Product knowledge includes, but is not limited to: domestic and foreign equity, debt securities, commodities, CDS, swap contracts, options, futures, and forwards contracts • Knowledge of GAAP, 1940 Act, Registered Investment Companies, ASC 815, ASC 820, ASU 2013-01 (ASU 2011-11) • Research and analyze technical issues to determine proper accounting and reporting treatment • Review documents required for 1940 Act SEC filings including Form N-CSR and N-1A filings
