Dec. 2017 - Dec. 2018Newport, Rhode IslandTray, wrap, weigh and price cuts of meat using automatic or manual wrapping stations while adhering to all safety standards. Rotate and replenish stock in display cases to ensure freshness. Maintain. sharpen and clean a variety of hand tools and power equipment used in the meat cutting process. Check temperatures of coolers at set intervals to maintain proper storage temperatures and report any discrepancies as they arise. Make sure all product is cut on the proper tables to avoid cross contamination. Move incoming product using dollies and forklifts as necessary. Clean and sanitize all work stations according to required standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
Collaborate, set priorities, communicate, and organize all work in order to meet deadlines, ensuring compliance with established processes, policies, and regulations.
Enter all new pricing information onto the PLUM management app on a weekly basis. Access CARTS, DIBBS, Access Via and Electronic Shelf Management programs to update product information, create signs and ESLs as needed. Perform all managements duties, including ordering, receiving and office management during manager's absence from work.
Copy, print and collate all office files. Manage all office functions and keep up to date with DECA regulations. Communicate effectively, in writing and orally with managers and staff, in order to meet program objectives. Assist and help patrons with their shopping process, lending a helping hand or directing patrons when required, determining which patron was first during high volume times to ensure customer satisfaction.
Order, inspect and receive all meat orders, checking for expired, out of date or damaged products.
Promote sales and specials during optimal sales times, increasing sales and revenue. Field all incoming calls, placing special orders or directing customers to other departments.
