May. 2008 - Dec. 2010Lisbon Area, PortugalEvents account with duties including: • Organisation of events, meetings, conferences and congresses for external clients, including international conferences with over 2000 participants. • Management of clients, sponsors, speakers and other contacts – developing and maintaining a professional relationship with all key contacts. • Managing project plans – developing event concepts & logos, budgeting, contacting suppliers, hotels, catering services, logistics, audiovisual services, venue inspection & hire, travel arrangements and coordinating teams. • Managing tight deadlines and marketing materials ensuring they are available on time to maximise promotional impact. • Definition of the event’s target audience and create communications material that will appeal to them and create a desire to attend. • Providing input into all production stages and every aspect of a conference’s development, from proposals, through to actual shape and content of the event itself and delivery. • Working with, and delivering briefs to, departmental teams (marketing, delegate & sponsorship, sales and management). • Running the conference onsite; being responsible for the smooth flow of the event and making sure the planning process is executed in practice. • Providing post conference content and reports, both for internal use and to publish on the event's website
