And the children in the LEAP classroom ranged from about 4 to 6 years of age. In each classroom children are taught to do basic things like hold a fork and eat properly and use manner at the table to more complex things like math and reading.
My responsibilities as an intern were as follows:

• Gained experience working with children with Down Syndrome • Helped with basic tasks such as eating properly and manners, grasping and pinching techniques, proper classroom behavior, and helping children communicate with simple words, phrases, and sign language
