Managed day-to-day operations, encompassing hiring and policy creation, and took on expanded HR oversight for human capital planning, compensation, DEI training, and labor relations. • Managed key relationships with leading internal and external brand partners, including USAA, Marvel, Disney, UFC, espnW, ESPN Learning and Development, Monday Night Football, College GameDay, and SportsCenter. • Secured buy-in from executive leadership to carry out a $5M refresh of our facility, with zero capital investment, that will pay for itself in under three years. Rebuilt and expanded edit and sound design suites and added 8 post-production team members to improve editing quality and reduce external spending. By bringing previously outsourced production in-house, the project was projected to save the company more than $2.6M per year. • Responded proactively to meet the unprecedented challenges caused by the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and successfully continued live TV operations without interruption, and zero impact to production value. By day three, implemented a rotational schedule for the news-gathering unit. Within one week, convinced Disney to address firewalls and enabled TV production from home for the first time in company history. • Headed return to the office planning to successfully transition team members, covering three hubs in California, Connecticut, and North Carolina, five facilities in three states, and six remote editors in six additional states.
