I started on the phone as a business retention advisor but was made a manager of a team within 11 months. Whilst I was manager of that team, I achieved some outstanding results and I am now the Senior Manager for the Business Retention Department. I am responsible for a team of 10 advisors as well as helping run a department of 5 teams. I report to the Household Business Retention Call Centre Manager. Whilst being in this role I have devised a sales script for both the Business Retention and Customer Services department. I have had to ensure that the script meets the FSA requirements and also follows all of the company’s processes properly. I have liaised with different areas of the business such as Underwriting, product and compliance to ensure it meets the standard required. This gave me a further insight to these areas. I am currently working on a project to integrate a new system into the department. This is a new piece of software that has been brought into the business. The idea of this project is to ensure that it works for the department. I am ensuring that correct processes will be able to be followed as well as creating processes that can be performed using this software. Within this project I have had to keep to tight deadlines and ensure that actions are completed promptly and to a very high standard. Whilst taking on extra work I have to ensure that my team can run self-sufficiently. I have a team that are very highly engaged and work hard to reaching their targets. I have worked very hard on ensuring that they remain engaged every day and also ensure that their own development is followed through. I currently have an excellent record of ensuring that advisors reach their potential and are able to progress into either management roles or other areas of the business they are interested in.

Whilst at this store I also helped role out new stores. I helped open a new ‘flag ship’ store in Bristol and also in Nottingham. On both these occasions I had to ensure that staff were trained to a good standard and I also gave one on one coaching to help improve there results.
