• Identify and coordinate all outside media requests from local, regional and national media members concerning Spaceport America and its tenants (Virgin Galactic, UP Aerospace, SpinLaunch, HAPSMobile, AeroVironment)
• Explore opportunities for revenue-generation for the Spaceport outside of client and tenant operations
• Coordinate and further develop various STEM initiatives for the Spaceport in partnership with local and regional elementary school, middle school, high school and higher education institutions.
• Seek out new tenants to the Spaceport while communicating the value of our horizontal and vertical launch platforms and adjacent restricted airspace
• Pursue television and film opportunities by presenting the Spaceport as a viable filming location
Ensure Spaceport officials are able to adequately represent the viewpoints and objectives of the facility with multiple private-sector, public-sector and government entities
• Oversaw global media outreach for Spaceport America Cup, resulting in reach of 175 million, $1.6 million in ad value and $4.84 million in PR value
• Secured motion picture and still photography contracts from Universal Studios, Curve Media and Honda/Lexus for use at site
• Coordinated, in conjunction with Virgin Galactic, ‘Galactic 02’ spaceflight media campaign resulting in $10 million in ad value, NBC viewership of 975 million over three days, over 17,000 earned media pieces and 36.3 billion media impressions
