Independently designed classes to meet institutional and state requirements to facilitate student-centered learning, maintain high student satisfaction, high student turn-out, and high academic standards. Developed lessons and activities related to United States History utilizing textbooks, commercially available documents, peer reviewed research, national and international archives, subject matter experts, and other online resources. Analyzed the same for accuracy and pertinence to the goals of the class. Created handouts, workbooks, web video, multi-media presentations, maps, and 3d printed physical objects to facilitate students in achieving their learning objectives. Facilitated live, on-line classrooms using Web-Ex and Zoom. Applied advanced instructional principals towards broad spectrum learning across a diverse population of students. Developed learning materials and presentations using a vast array of resources, programs, applications, and methodologies. Accessed subject matter experts when appropriate. Using modern assessment techniques, analyzed student outcomes with a variety of formative and summative assessment methods. Maintained classroom online presence using online learning platform (LMS, D2L) to administer assessments, provide feedback and communication, and inform students of changes related to the class. Assisted undergraduate students in establishing and achieving learning goals by providing mentoring, academic counseling, and academic intervention (including escalation to LSC’s academic retention office). Participated in adjunct training, adjunct certification, and other staff activities to further the mission of Lone Star College.
