Dec. 2011 - Feb. 2014London, United KingdomWebsites tell a story. Good websites tell that story well, in an engaging fashion, in a format that can be easily consumed, in a location that's easy to find, and in a way that sparks conversations. That's what I look after in Nasdaq. The product that should launch a thousand conversations for our clients in a way that's simply a natural extension of their existing working practices. In other words, great websites made easy. Behind the websites we create collaborative workflows which enable our customers to create, track and monitor the content they put out there. We also help them to manage their busy press desk by logging and reporting over conversations and incidents. We provide a workflow tailored to the PR space. I manage product strategy based on customer feedback, changing technology, the competitive landscape and a never ending search for the 'wow' factor. I deal with the issues as well as the successes and support client services and sales teams to ensure existing and new customers have a great product experience. Using agile methodology I translate the roadmap into prioritised and actionable stories which produce real business benefits. I work with scrum masters, developers, business analysts and QA to ensure the ongoing improvement of the product and to act as the bridge between what the business and customers want and what the technology can provide.
Product Director
Glide TechnologiesProduct Director
Mar. 2010 - Dec. 2011LondonFor 10 years Glide was my baby. As one of the founders, I worked tirelessly to grow the business into the success story that it became. When the company was an infant, I focussed on keeping it alive by nurturing our key customers and feeding it with new business. As a toddler I kept it from harm's way by working with the development team to stabilise the platform and make it more scalable. And now it's all growed up and making money on its ownsome. I feel very proud indeed. Put more professionally, I was responsible for the vision and direction of the Glide SaaS platform which enabled GE, Motorola, Oracle, Barclays and over 200 other blue chip customers to manage their communication functions globally. My key role once we had passed the initial start up stages, was to translate customer requirements and business objectives into achievable roadmap of winning enhancements which saw customer retention rates average at 90% and win rates against competitors average at 95%. I was a key player in acquisition discussions throughout 2011 where the product, the roadmap, and the customer loyalty all marked Glide as a safe bet for our eventual acquirers.

Responsible for retention, revenue generation, project management, quality assurance, helpdesk and product development I was kept fairly busy but was rewarded by seeing the customer base and product grow and grow and grow some more. In my spare time :) I also supported the sales teams in pitches as the product expert and for a short time managed them directly.
