Served as speedway's spokesman and media liaison: participated in interviews; pitched stories to local, regional, and national media organizations; coordinated more than 30 radio station call-ins for track president prior to each event; and hosted more than 200 media members and national television partners on major event weekends. Managed press box and media center; implemented media hospitality and catering plan. Created and coordinated compelling media events leading to each event. Recruited talent, drivers and other high-level industry leaders to promote events without fees. Credentialed 200+ media members for each NASCAR Cup race. Managed website's redesigns and maintain site. Traveled to, and represented the speedway during other NASCAR Cup events across the country. Produced and distributed roughly 80 press releases annually, utilizing newspaper background to ensure releases are โcut and pasteโ ready, requiring minimal editing by news outlets. Built speedway's social media presence. Responsible for content and distribution of track's monthly subscriber email service. Manage annual public relations budget of $250,000.
