Maintain responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters;
Implements and applies personnel policies and programs for the purpose of conforming to relevant laws;
Communicates changes in the organization’s personnel and payroll policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed;
Develop, plan and evaluate HR and payroll procedures and policies for the purpose of ensuring department is operating effectively and efficiently;
Investigates grievances and/or complaints from employees for the purpose of reaching resolutions that provide a healthy work environment;
Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by CEO on personnel and payroll matters;
Serves as the link between management and employees by handling questions interpreting and administering programs, and helping resolve work-related problems such as dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, firing employees and administer other disciplinary procedures;
Acts as an advisor to administrators, managers, and supervisors on issues related to organizational policy matters, such as equal employment, harassment, employee discipline and employment for the purpose of ensuring consistent application of policy;
Develops staffing proposals, advises on compensation strategies, analyze staffing trends and coordinates the in-house paid employee talent pool;
Recommends, evaluates and participates in staff development for the organization;
Manages day-to-day operations of Human Resources and Payroll areas to maximize efficiency, supervises the staff of human resource/payroll department;
Plan, direct, supervise and coordinate activities of the staff relating to employment, payroll, compensation, training and employee relations;
