As the founding engineer I worked tirelessly and was scrappy iterating on a MVP product that allowed restaurant owners to rapidly update pricing and menu items in their Flapjack optimized menus. The first version was delivered to customers in 3 weeks and used nearly daily by live customers to adjust their menus. Jan. 2019 - Apr. 2022Seattle, Washington, United StatesThe first year at Amazon I built a service that compiled and dispatched real time status of Amazon Ads. This service powered the monitoring, pausing, enabling, suspension, and other actions to be performed with low latency in a new Ad metadata service which was being developed. My remaining time was on the Amazon Photos team where I worked on the Curation team. I was responsible for monitoring new uploads in an account and identifying important events which should be curated into a slideshow\video. My primary contribution was the design and implementation of a system that curated a set of memories in the form of cards at the bottom of the Amazon Photos app The type of memories varied from “Best of Year”, “This Day in a past year”, “Featured Person”, etc. The design was abstract, scalable, and has started to be reused for other applications in the organization.
