Jun. 2023Assist several Administrative Law Judges with case assignments to decide contests of citations or penalties that OSHA issues to employers following inspections of American workplaces also assist with conducting hearings, receiving evidence, and rendering decisions by the Administrative Law Judges (ALJs).
Schedule pre-hearing conference calls for pre-trial meetings with high level government officials, witnesses, and defense counsel
At the direction of the judges, draft, prepare, and file a variety of legal documents including but not limited to subpoenas, orders, notices, correspondence, motions, briefs, and memoranda.
Aid Administrative Law Judges as needed in the office for key matters relating to policy and strategic planning across all programs.
Process all travel duties including initiating travel authorizations, making reservations for hotel, flight, car rental and reserving federal funds for domestic and foreign/international travel, and preparing travel voucher accounting for all expenses during trip ensuring government travel credit card is settled.
Reserve court space for out of state and local hearing matters.
Draft Bi-Monthly active case assessments
Maintain Judges calendar, schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and events.
Serve as timekeeper inputting, approving and validating time sheets for payroll.
