May. 2019 - Oct. 2021Санкт-Петербург, Санкт-Петербург, РоссияCreated the company’s brand and communications strategy: For this project, I brought together in-house talent, 3 international branding agencies, and a communications strategist from the UK. We conducted interviews with founders, employees, and customers, did market research, put together MEL’s mission, values, tone of voice, and visual guidelines. Initiated and organized a marketing campaign that broke the company’s lifetime record of sales. Built a team of marketing communications and creatives (Social Media Manager, Community Manager, Designer, Creative Producer): Hired 3 professionals within 2 months, invented a new team workflow based on Scrum and Growth Hacking methodologies - it made our work transparent for all departments, helped to minimize the number of meetings, and to cooperate while working remotely. Set KPIs, held performance reviews, helped the team plan their goals and professional development. Organized work with outsourcers: Designers, copywriters, creative agencies, video makers, etc. It helped to diversify our ideas and to speed up the creative production process without overgrowing the in-house team. Launched new lines of work: - Influencer marketing - at the start brought up to 5% of monthly sales and later grew into a separate department - Community management - hired a new manager, launched a Facebook messenger bot, achieved 81% growth in response rate and 94% growth in response time. Started to use a social listening service (Youscan) and improved our Trustpilot and FB reviews scores.

Nov. 2014 - May. 2019Санкт-Петербург, РоссияEvents: #Biketowork days in Saint-Petersburg - a local incarnation of a worldwide movement. - Developed the event’s concept and strategy: set up goals, generated ideas of growth. - Raised enough funds from sponsors to cover the organizational expenses and salaries for the team. - Hired and coached a team of volunteers - social media and partnerships managers, event managers, designers, photographers, drivers, and decorators. - Covered all communications and PR on social media and in the press. - Managed partnerships with over 100 companies: small local businesses and big companies like IKEA, Raiffeisen Bank, and IT corporations. Some other events I brought to life: 5 city bicycle parades (from 100 to 5000 participants) including winter bicycle “Santa rides”. City festival “Streets for people” (over 5000 participants). Bike festival “For the bicycle city” (2000 participants). Community Grew the online community of bicycle commuters in St. Petersburg from 3k to over 10k members. Wrote content for the social media page about bicycle infrastructure. Organized online and offline engaging events for the community - rides, competitions, lectures. Rebranding Teamed up with a designer to develop a new visual brand for the organization for free. Presented the new brand to the community and produced branded clothes, postcards and stickers. GR Attended meetings of the city council, lobbying bike lanes and events. Prepared documentation to have our events approved by the city officials. Communications and PR Built relations with journalists and partnerships with media.I was the main spokesperson of the team on TV and radio, spoke at conferences and in universities advocating a car-free lifestyle and urban activism for students.

Nov. 2010 - Mar. 2014I joined the company at the very start and helped it grow from one tiny store into a chain of 10 stores in St. Petersburg. It became the main boardgame brand in the city. I have put together a team of 5 people (2 designers, SMM manager, event manager and account manager) and a whole department of game masters. • created and organized (4 times) the biggest boardgame festival in St. Petersburg "GaGaFest" - the the first one had over 2000 attendees, the 4th - over 10000. • developed a network of regular game sessions in parks, cafes and bars of the city, organized our presence (game zones) at big city events. • created a club "Playloft GaGa" from scratch: developed branding, managed promotion, recruited a team, planned an event schedule. 500 people came to the opening (300 expected).
