After working off and on for four years, Matt gained recognition by the people of Dining Services. After graduating in August, he managed to land a job as a sanitation laborer for the State of Illinois the following October. He is in charge of washing dishes, cleaning (sweeping & mopping,) and stocking food in the freezers. Matt reports to various supervisors and administrators, such as Tim Murphy (his long-time supervisor) and Jim Sutter (an admin.) Due to his work-filled transition from student worker to state worker, many students look to him for guidance in Dining Services. In a way, Matt services as an unofficial manager in the eyes of the students.
