The Honor FoundationExperience and Volunteer Coordinator
Aug. 2015 - Aug. 20177770 Regents Rd #113-233, San Diego, CA 92122During my time with THF, It was my personal responsibility to ensure each and every person that comes in contact with The Honor Foundation, felt appreciated and valued! After all, THF would not exist without their commitment to this special community. I helped create and maintain great relationships with our donors and partners in order to support our mission of changing and effecting the lives of Special Operators all over the country! I worked closely with our donors, personally calling them to thank them for their donating, mailing thank you gifts and cards, sending out tax record information and populating their information in sales force. I provided classroom support to our lead facilitators to ensure each class ran smoothly. I recorded all classes and live chatted with remote fellows online, asking questions for them when they had them. Each week, I wrote and sent out an email to all spouses with a recap of some of the major takeaways the fellows learned in class from our world class educators and arranged for spouses to be able to sit in on some of the classes along side their special operator. I also planned a spouse wellness event with keynote speaker to provide them with the tools they need as their families made the big transition from special operations to the private sector. My last role at THF was to oversee our volunteers for all major events. We had incredible volunteers that generously gave their time to support our mission. I generally oversaw about 5 volunteers at a time for THF graduations and larger class nights where friends and families were welcomed to attend. I had to step away from my role at THF when my family and I relocated to Virginia Beach. My time with this non profit was remarkable and I learned so much. I am very grateful for the opportunity!
