Area, ColombiaSince I have been the CIO at Asitec S.A.S. the company has conducted several auditing projects on behalf of "Ministerio de las Tecnologías de la Información y las Telecomunicaciones - MinTIC". The different projects include the analysis, design, development and deployment of an Information System covering the complete information (financial, documental, geographical, operational and tracking) of: 2007-2008 Project: Phase IV of the Telefonía Rural Comunitaria.
2009-2013 Project: Compartel Telefonía Rural Comunitaria and Compartel Internet Social.
2012-2014 Project: Hogares Digitales.
2014-2018 Project: Kioscos Vive Digital fase II. These projects were implemented using MS-Windows Server Operating System, Internet Information Server using Classic ASP, MS-SQL Server 2008-2012. The last two mentioned projects required that relevant information about their operational phase be published using of Web services (SOAP protocol) in order to be consumed by MinTIC. The development of the required methods was done using Java, JEE, JDBC, Apache CXF and Glassfish.

This ERP System was based on Progress Software Corporation RDBMS and Integrated Development Environment (IDE). This software was used only in Bogotá. As CIO I led the process of acquisition and deployment of an Application Server enabling the use of the ERP from all the branches of CGA. I did the tuning of the different Progress RDBMS instances used by CGA. With this effort, the utilization dropped from over 80% down to below 35%. I also conducted all the Progress DBA functions. Under my initiative, a complete plan of Informatic Assets protection with backup and recovery routines, was developed and tested in order to prepare the company for the development of a Disaster Recovery Strategy.

During the last few years I have worked as translator of documents, monographs, brochures, Informed Medical Consent documents, computer based slide presentations, contracts and different pieces of scientific and commercial material for Genzyme Corporation and Genzyme Therapeutics. These translations were related to lysosomal diseases. 3. Freelance translator working mainly for Macstranslate LLC located in Watertown, Massachusetts. Since April 2017 - up to now. I translated multiple types of documents including Medical Records, Employee Worker's Compensation Claims, Parental Rights claims, and other cases. This work was done mainly for AccessOnTime and Procare located in Florida USA.

This auditing was done for ASOCEL (Asociación de Empresas de Telefonía Móvil Celular) and covered the three mobile telecommunications providers in Colombia (Bellsouth, Comcel and Colombia Móvil). 2. Production of the RFP (Request for Proposals) for the acquisition of telecommunications equipment (central and customers firewall, SSL handling and acceleration, customer switches and WiFi Access Points) in the process of technological evolution to IP technology of Credibanco Visa and Redeban. Technical and financial assessment of the received proposals. 3. Analysis, design, programming and deployment of a information system for the auditing of the contract between Siemens S.A., UNDP (United Nations Development Program) and DAPRE (Departamento Administrativo de la Presidencia de la Republica). The objective of this contract was the acquisition and installation of surveillance cameras in several Colombian cities. 4. Production of the technical addenda for the RFP oriented to equipment and technology acquisition to install xDSL (DSLAMs) networks in commercial malls, business offices complex and multi-family buildings. The customer was Promitel - Barranquilla. 5. Production of the technical addendum for the RFP oriented to equipment and technology aquisition to build a Metro Ethernet Network. This addendum was elaborated for Promitel - Barranquilla. 6. Director for the installation, deployment and maintenance of the Points of Presence nodes belonging to AT&T (total 21 POPs). Analysis, design, programming and deployment of the information system for the management and control of the POPs operation including work orders, tickets, inventory and personal. The environment was a Linux RedHat server, with MySql database and Apache Tomcat as application server.
