Sep. 2021 - May. 2024As the Head of Marketing at Wooden Spoon Herbs, I transformed the brand from a farmers market favorite to a nationally recognized name in Whole Foods Market. I led the comprehensive development of our brand strategy across all channels, including marketing, branding, and creative. During my tenure, I spearheaded initiatives that resulted in 3x growth YoY, achieving the company's first 7-figure year in under 2 years, driven by a full rebrand overhaul in collaboration with the award-winning design agency, Gander. Key contributions during the rebrand included: → Implemented a pricing strategy that reduced product costs, creating a competitive advantage and supporting sell-through as WSH entered the mass grocery market. → Simplified product positioning to ease the learning curve for customers new to herbal supplements. → Introduced targeted strategies to build on existing brand successes, contributing to a blended increase of 118% in gross revenue and 178% in DTC sales annually. I successfully launched the brand into mass grocery, securing placements in Whole Foods Market nationwide, as well as Erewhon, Lassens, and more. Additionally, I ideated and executed brand partnerships with Hypebae, Air Milkshake, Golde, Tricia Hersey (founder of The Nap Ministry), Diaspora Co., Pineapple Collaborative, MINNA Goods, Chunks, Daybreak Seaweed, Alexis Smart Flower Remedies, and East Fork. I also led the PR strategy in collaboration with LaRue PR, resulting in features in Entrepreneur, Forbes, Rolling Stone, NBC, VICE, Bon Appetit, MSN, and the London Times.
