Jan. 1992 - Jan. 1994As the IS Director I managed and directed the software development staff for all Oracle project surrounding Database design and maintenance along with information systems software development supporting a staff of twenty (20) technology resources (DBA’s, Architects, Developers, Instructors and Business Analysts). Worked as Technology Leader for First Data Corporation (FDC) credit card transaction processing system. This included working with senior executives in defining the overall system scope, goals and objectives. Developed the requirements documents and then managed the development team to create, code and deploy the credit card transaction processing. This involved a VLDB Oracle database where millions of credit card transactions processed daily and I was responsible for the management, monitoring, production processing, nightly, weekly and quarterly aggregations and reporting. Performed as the company’s Oracle Instructor for client software development courses offered: Oracle Database design/modeling, Oracle Forms, Reports, SQL, PL/SQL and Oracle CASE Technologies and methodologies. Initially work as Technology Software Consultant (AIS) on the Behavioral Health project for subsidiary of Phoenix Hospital (Contact Management - EAP System). Responsibilities included the initial strategy, analysis, design, build/development of the over all Medical Case Management System. The completed system included Case Management Triage interface, Patient Authorizations verifications, Scheduling, Provider CAP Costing Contracts, Patient appointments/NS, Diagnonis/CPT/IDC9 coding and system assignment. Invoice, Billing and HCFA1500 forms were systematically generated and adjudicated through the Case Management system. This system involved every aspect of the Behavioral Health Case Management functionality. The technology applied included: Sun Solaris, Oracle Database, Development Tools (Forms, Reports, SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Reports, Sql*Loader) and SQR.
