Team Leader Manager Night Shift and Charge Nurse responsible for scheduling, precepting and orienting, student nurse coordinations, interpersonal management, facilitating learning for resident physicians and intern nurse midwives as well as new nurses and orienting travel nurses to unit. Coordinating and participating in drills. Independent nurse midwife group present in this setting alongside high risk obstetric and gynecological care. Midwifery care centered around physicological birth and had 99% vaginal birth rate with excellent care outcomes. High risk care involved long term care of high risk pregnancies, managing high risk labors requiring drip insulin, preeclampsia management, cardiac and other organ disease management, care of geriatric pregnancies and IVF and twins/triplets. Fast paced, intelligent, compassionate care setting with cutting edge options for the pregnant person. Responsible for collaborating between NICU, Post partum, Labor, Triage, ER and OR regularly.
